Privacy Policy — Morph
Last updated: 7 September 2026
Morph deforms your voice on the phone. The recording stays in memory and does not become a file unless you ask for one.
Data controller: MindContact — privacy@mindcontact.net
In short
- Morph creates no account, asks for no sign-up, and collects no name, email or contacts.
- We run no servers: no app data is ever sent to us.
- The only data leaving your device is what Google AdMob collects to serve ads.
- Your voice does not leave the phone: all the work happens on the device, aeroplane mode included.
- The recording lives in memory and is gone when you close the app. A file exists only if you press "Save and share".
Permissions and what they are for
| Permission | Why | What leaves the device |
|---|---|---|
| Microphone | to record the voice you then deform | nothing |
| Internet | ads | see “Advertising” |
There is no storage permission, because none is needed: the app writes only inside itself, and only when you ask it to.
Your voice
Morph records your voice, deforms it and plays it back. Here is what becomes of it, in order:
- the recording stays in memory, for as long as the app is open. It is not written to disk, and closing the app is enough to be rid of it;
- the work — the pitch and the body of the voice — happens entirely on the phone. The app runs in aeroplane mode, which is the simplest way to check that;
- a file exists only if you press "Save and share". It is written into this app's own folder, not the gallery and not a shared folder: no other app sees it until you send it there yourself with the system share sheet;
- you can delete the recording at any time with the button provided: the sample voice comes back, which the app synthesises and which belongs to nobody;
- uninstalling the app removes its folder, and everything in it, from the system.
Morph does not recognise what you say, does not transcribe it and does not send it to any service. There is no voice model: the voice is deformed with digital signal processing, and the app cannot imitate another person's voice.
Advertising
Morph shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process:
- the device advertising identifier (Advertising ID / IDFA);
- the IP address and technical device information;
- ad interaction data.
Google processes this data as an independent controller. Policy and options: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
You can limit personalised ads from your system settings:
- Android — Settings › Privacy › Ads
- iOS — Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message appears on first launch; until you answer it, the app requests no ads at all.
Data that stays on the device
App preferences are stored on the device only and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
With no account and no backend, we hold no data about you and cannot identify you. For data processed by Google AdMob, exercise your rights directly with Google, using the contacts in its own policy.
