Privacy Policy — Agenda
Last updated: 18 September 2026
Agenda shows and edits the calendars already on your phone. It does not copy them anywhere.
Data controller: MindContact — privacy@mindcontact.net
In short
- Agenda does not create accounts, does not ask you to sign in to Google or anything else, and does not collect your name, email or contacts.
- Your events do not leave the device because of us. They are read from the system calendar and written back to it; we have no server, so there is nowhere for them to go.
- The Internet permission exists for the ads. Your calendar does not travel over it.
- The only data leaving the device is what Google AdMob collects to show ads.
Permissions, and what they are for
| Permission | Why | What leaves the device |
|---|---|---|
| Calendar, read | show events in the app and in the widget | nothing |
| Calendar, write | create and edit events. Asked the first time you tap the "+", not at startup | nothing |
| Internet | show ads | see "Advertising" |
| Network state | know whether there is a connection before requesting an ad | nothing |
Your events
The events you see are not ours and are not a copy: they are rows in the Android system calendar, the same ones the phone syncs by itself with Google Calendar or whichever account you configured.
- Agenda reads them to show them, and writes them back when you edit them.
- An event created here is on the laptop a minute later, because the system syncs it, not us.
- Who processes that data, and under which policy, is the provider of the account you added to the phone — typically Google: policies.google.com/privacy
- Turning a calendar off in Agenda's settings only hides it: nothing is deleted.
Advertising
Agenda shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process:
- the device advertising identifier (Advertising ID);
- the IP address and technical information about the device;
- ad interaction data.
No content of your calendar is passed to AdMob: not titles, not times, not attendees. An ad request knows this is a calendar app no better than it knows the app's name.
Google processes this data as an independent controller. Policy and options: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
You can limit personalised ads from the system settings: Settings › Privacy › Ads.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, consent is requested through Google's message (Consent Management Platform) before any personalised ad is shown. You can refuse and keep using the app: you will see non-personalised ads. Where the law requires it, the "Ad privacy options" entry in the app menu reopens that choice at any time.
Data collected by us
None. Agenda has no backend, sends no telemetry and uses no analytics. The only things stored are your preferences — which calendars to show, clock format, widget appearance — and they stay on the phone and are never transmitted.
Children
Agenda is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Since we process no personal data, we have nothing to export or delete. Your events are managed where they actually live, that is, in the account that syncs them. For the data collected by Google AdMob, rights are exercised towards Google under its policy. Uninstalling Agenda deletes no events: it only removes the app that was showing them.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published at this address, with the update date at the top.
